As for me, I will be 41 the end of this month. I have a young son 3 1/2 and not looking for any more children. My g/f is late 30's and has an older son (she got married young). She does not want any more children either. But regardless of her in my life, I decided this year to have a vasectomy. At this point in my life I am very content and in a place where I do not want to have a baby. Also for me, my dad had me at 50 years old and passed away when I was 24. In my opinion, babies are for younger people. I do not want to have a baby at 45 years old. Yes children are amazingly joyful and beautiful. My son has changed me, blessed and enriched my life.

On a more serious note, you're single and "dating." You have every right to check out all your options. Like you said you won't know about someone or what connection you make until you meet them in person. For all we know A could be the one and the rest are just busy work for you. You should still give them all a chance though. What if 4/5 of them flake out on you? Keep your options open and go for it. You have nothing to lose.

My biggest concern here, though, is that he is entertaining these angry and intimate conversations with her. While she will always be in his life as the mother of her children, if she can't control herself, he needs to limit contact with her to contact regarding their kids. There is an app--I think it's called Our Family Wizard--that courts have begun to use in divorce cases with children when the order spouses are hostile. It records all contact between the spouses and notifies the court of hostilities and failures to respond to inquiries about the children. Something like that could really help in a situation like this.

Do people still believe in marriage till death do us part? I'm just curious because if that's the case, WHY is the divorce rate so high esp for couples married less than a year?
